so giving people a heads up here, in case people have access to a library with access and are in the mood to read about these things. I haven't dug around in my library for stuff like this, but I'll occasionally splurge and buy and issue of something. (used to have a subscription to Nature, but let it lapse eventually).
The specific article brought to mind the latest fiblit in the crawl since I had been pondering the outcomes of people who would be dealing with viruses that target large swaths of the brain. given that people sometimes manage to recover some functionality from strokes and brain injuries, we can ponder the fate of people who didn't get gunned down in crowd control from zombie outbreaks.
