Offensive Squid

Okay, fans. Remember that menage et trois interview with Tony Smith, Paul di Filippo and Peter Watts on Starship Sofa?  The one where they discuss paper ephemera that Cory Doctorow is gathering as part of some new publishing stunt?  Where Paul mentions he donated a sonogram of his testicles?

I don't know if it's art, but I like it.  If you skip around in that stream you can also find a rejection letter from Analog to Peter Watts, circa 1981, kids, back when we still used carbon paper.  Remember carbon paper?  Whooeee, good times, good times.

But the testicle sonogram wins hands down for me. I  thought he was kidding or something, but, dare I say it?  It's a ballsy play to donate that?  To know that someone is going to pay extra to get a sonogram of ones nuts.  Think on't, me lovelies.  I have new respect for Mr. diFilippo now.  It's so, IDK, Frank Zappa or something.  So Warhol.  And you may view it in 3582 x 5000, in to get every glorious pixel.

So you would not pay extra for Cory Doctorow book with this sonogram in it.   Concur.  I just liked the idea amidst all the hand-written diaries and correspondence, someone donated this rude item.  It's the 14 year old in me.
